East River Park’s Uber Greenlight Hub

A New Home Base for Drivers in the District

East River Park and Ward 7 are proud to be the home of the latest Uber Greenlight Hub, a state-of-the-art support and resource center for local Uber drivers. This central hub will provide invaluable support for drivers in the District, who previously had to travel as far as Forestville, MD, to receive in-person support. The 8,200 square foot facility has been thoughtfully designed to best serve the needs of District Uber drivers, as well as reflect the local community.

Join us for the grand opening this summer as we celebrate the new hub, as well as the thousands of Uber drivers who call the District home and serve the Ward 7 community.

CulturalDC’s Mobile Art Gallery Makes Its Way to East River Park

August 11 – September 29

CulturalDC brings cutting-edge artwork to communities in the District through the Mobile Art Gallery, a 40-foot shipping container renovated into a multi-functional space for art. Launched earlier this year, the Mobile Art Gallery makes its way to East River Park on Saturday, August 11, and will stay open through Saturday, September 29.

CulturalDC and Sign of The Times Cultural Workshop & Gallery partnered to provide photography workshops for local youth ages 10–15, lead by professional photographers at the Dorothy I. Height/Benning Neighborhood Library. The new Mobile Art Gallery exhibit showcases the illuminating photography captured by the workshop participants and gives visitors the chance to view the neighborhood through the eyes of the next generation.
